Thanks, I'll dig into that more. BTW, the overall collection is already in the database.  Just need to flesh it out.

plus I seem to remember that since the last programme update they don't work quite the same way across the desktop and mobile apps.

That is good enough reason right there. Thanks guys.

The "4400 Complete Series" is actually a box set, consisting of the box sleeve which holds two HD Keep Cases. One case holds seasons 1 & 2, while the other holds seasons 3 & 4. Each has separate cover art. But, they were never released in this configuration, so there is no EAN (Australia release).

How does one create two separate entries whereby the two keepcases are entered with their disc IDs and their cover artwork?

I just looked at 4400, which I have as well. Episode dividers are used for cast and crew. I used group dividers for the cast. I'll change then to episode dividers.

I did the copying and pasting as @huskersports suggested. I discovered that while doing right-clicking in the areas to see what I would get.

This is what I ended up with before @huskersports amd @GSyren made their suggestions:

Takes a little work, but you'll get the desired result in the end.

You posted 10 min. before I did. Let me know what you think about what I did. Though I do suspect that for the crew I'll have to do what I suggested or what you suggested.

I think I figured out how to get the cast/crew from all 5 seasons into this release. The cast dividers worked out fine, in that I was able to add group dividers for each season. But, for the crew, the group divider was not cooperative. I was not able to group each season on its own. Whenever I tried to add a group divider, it kept being placed in one of the crew types, i.e., like Music. I ended up adding episode dividers. But, I ultimately think that will not result in a crew member being listed correctly, i.e., assigned to a particular season and episode. I'm thinking that maybe each episode divider should prepend  "Season n - " to each episode number.

Consensus? Off my rocker?

That is correct with the showrunner, but that role would be covered if they were the creator or the Producer/Executive Producer.

AFAIK, a Showrunner might not be a creator or producer. I haven't done enough looking to determine one way or the other.

Is Ken the only person that can add anything to the crew?

Not until that becomes an official entry, no. We have a similar issue with "Script Editor" which is another term, in Doctor Who at least, which isn't currently valid.

Right, forgot about that crew entry as well. It seems that new official entries don't happen very often.

So, anyone that is a showrunner can never be added to the database?

I added Russel T Davies as Showrunner to the Other crew category, but when I tried to contribute the change, the web page said that there were no changes to contribute. Not true. Now what?

Currently the database shows separate BD releases for the series, i.e., separate cover art for each season. But, the complete series does not contain five seasons worth of HD Keep Cases. There is a single, larger, HD Keep Case that holds all 10 discs. Shouldn't this listing not be in the database as a box set, but as a single release with the 10 discs? Frankly I have no idea how to combine the 10 separate cast/crews lists into one if the listing were to be changed in order to be more accurate as to what it is.

Before I contributed it, I right-clicked on the "View Contributors" tab (next to "Loan Status") and saw that primtime21 had already created an initial contribution for it, but it had not been approved yet.

Sorry, but I do not see a "Load Status" tab nor a "View Contributors" tab.

UPDATE: Found it with the help of google search.

I found it: DVD -> Copy then Paste

I do have to scan the covers though.

I obtained the Legends of Tomorrow: Complete Series and the box set contains 7 separate season sets. The UPCs of those 7 seasons are different than the UPCs in the database. I suspect that is because the individual releases also have digital copy, so the artwork is different, etc. No digital copy with the series release.

I'm guessing that I need to include all 7 separate releases and then export each season into a file and then import each season file into the new entries that I will have to create for each of the seasons.

If not, what is the procedure to copy over the info from one entry in the database to another?

I know that the Television rating heading exists as I can see it on other entries. I'm trying to enter a new release and the Rating System only has FILM in the drop-down list. How does one get the drop-down list to contain all of the available systems?

Interesting, I never noticed this issue either. To think I was just curious about this thread and discovered the same issue.

18 profiles needed updating.

Short answer: You have to untag those profiles first.

I was certainly coming to that conclusion.
Quote:
How?
- Flag all profiles (Ctrl-A).
- Select Collection / Flagged / Set Tags.
- Uncheck the tag in question and click OK.
- Delete the tag.

As mediadogg said, easy to miss this one. Really obscure. Thanks, did the trick.

Weird. The first couple of times when I did this, it never went to that dialog box. After name and location, it started the export. I just tried it again now and it works.

No clue as to what happened. Must have been pilot error.

I have a tag that I no longer wish to use. How do I delete it, even though it still has profiles with said tag? When I go thru the edit tags, select it and then delete, I get yelled at because of existing entries.

Since you still get the error, could you send me the new error message. It should have a different source line reference. It's tricky to fix errors that I can't reproduce.

Sent.

Any ideas on why I don't see the dialog that you see for selecting the collection?

BTW, it is version 4.0.0 build 1762.

ProfilerQuery 5.0.6
In Windows 10 and 11 tcpClient.ConnectAsync returns False if it cannot connect. But it seems that in Windows 7 it throws an exception instead. I can't test that since I don't have Windows 7, but I have added error trapping that I hope will handle that. (And I changed "se documentation" to "see Help file".)

If you are referring to the error list that I sent you, nothing was fixed. I get the same error list.

BTW, the link on the website is still 5a instead of 6. I manually changed the link to download the program installer.

Here is where you select "Owned", or whichever, in the normal export. Note that my collections are named differently than yours.

Sorry, but I don't get that dialog box. I first get a accept/decline dialog and then I get a dialog for selecting the file name and location.
Quote:
The reason for the command file is that it's a lot less steps than going through the normal export, if you always make the same selections.

Considering that I do not see the dialog box you reference, it is the only way to select which collection I want. I also couldn't find a setting to enable what you see.
